| Arrivals and Departures:
By plane: Milos has an airport with normally
two daily flights from Athens. The Airport is at 4 km. from Adamas (see Flights).
By boat: during the summer, there are on the average three ships a
day from and to Piraeus, Crete and the other Cyclades (see Ferries).
There is a "High Speed" line (4 hours from Piraeus). We
suggest to make your enquires to a Tourist Office in Greece.

Milos: +30+22870+no. -Athens: +30+210)+no.Events: name days are celebrated
more than birthdays. Go to the various feasts ("panighiri")
which take place the evening preceding the name day, at the Saint's Church.
Normally, in July Milos organizes a "festival" with various
cultural events, including music. As to music, a local group of musician
is giving birth to a series of interesting events, throughout the year.
Watch for the various ads posted in the shops and....on the electrical
poles.
Rentals: We stress the importance
of booking your accommodation, vehicle, or ticket in advance. For the
month of July and August this is mandatory.
Others: the Tourist Information
Office is in front of the port: don't expect too much for the moment! There are public telephones in
various places of the island. Roads are good,
but beware with motorcycles! The bus system has been
improved to reach more beaches.
