Milos island Informations and Rentals

Arrivals and Departures:

By plane: Milos has an airport with normally two daily flights from Athens. The Airport is at 4 km. from Adamas (see Flights).

By ferry: during the summer, there are on the average three ships a day from and to Piraeus, Crete and the other Cyclades (see Ferries).There is a High Speed line (4 hours from Piraeus).

Bus:The lines are the following. The frequencies are variable depending on the line and schedulles are set to the relative stops.
- Adamas-Pahiena-Filakopi-Pollonia
- Adamas-Zefiria-Paliohori
- Adamas-Achivadolimni-Provatas
- Adamas-Sarakiniko
- Adamas-Triovassalos-Plaka-Tripitì


Events: In Greece, name days are celebrated more than birthdays. Go to the various feasts -panigiri- which take place at the Saint's Church the evening preceding the name day. Normally, in July Milos organizes a festival with various cultural events, including music. As to music, a local group of musician is giving birth to a series of interesting events, throughout the year. Watch for the various ads posted in the shops and....on the electrical poles.

Rentals: We stress the importance of booking your accommodation, vehicle, or ticket in advance. For the month of July and August this is mandatory.

Others: the Tourist Information Office is in front of the port: don't expect too much for the moment! Roads are good, but beware with motorcycles! Kindly read our pages on restaurants, flights, ferries, etc.
