Some municipal offices have own decisional power, like the Office of the Port.
The Municipality of Milos is in Plaka, with secondary offices and operating units throughout the island.
The present administration is involved in guiding a renovation process of the whole administration, and in pursuing main projects (airport, new port in Pollonia, biological well, desalinization of sea water, slaughterhouse, etc) tied to the development of the island, as well as improvement of roads, schools, and utilities, and introducing all possible technologies and machinery to improve the efficiency of the administration, both for the citizens and for the tourists.
